Help needed setting access db path to other directory

I want to set this software up with the database being off the ww directory root on my server, i have a directory called data and i have tried changing the datacon file to this...
connectionStr
="DBQ="&Server.MapPath(".")&"..dataenHelpDesk.mdb;Driver={Microsoft
Access Driver (*.mdb)}"
it didnt work, is it possible to change this and should it be done before or after the install.
nice software btw :-)
